Is "Be Realistic" The Dumbest Advice Of All Time?
A well-lived life doesn't involve lifelong confinement to careers, families, responsibilities, and commitments you deem realistic.
As children we naturally contained lots of curiosity and wonder, as the world we were learning to get acclimated with seemed so vast and wonderful and full of adventure. We were encouraged to imagine the wildest things possible and act them out through toys and role playing. That was our main job as little humans.
